A-Part - A Documentary Series

When the pandemic became real in my life, I started to think about too many things, but one of the thoughts that became very clear to me was that the whole world was experiencing this wave, how we ride it, how we live through this time, and how the COVID-19 virus came to remind us that we are more connected than we think. That's the reason we had to be apart from each other. This gave me an idea: Let's talk to many different humans around the world to show humanity that we are a lot more alike than different. As the project evolved, so did many of my thoughts. Some days really doubting if the human race has a chance when I look around and see how divided we are told that we are. But then, when I talk to people that I have never met in different places, some of which I have never been to, and we seem to finish each other's sentences, it became very clear to me, we have to share this experience with the world. So I reached out to some amazing humans and Autumn Lerner, Sam Park, Nacho Rettally, and Brad Klausen jumped on this train with me. Here is Episode 0 of A-Part, you can also go to the website and start following us to catch the new episodes as they come out.

Here you can check some of our most recent work. And some of our old favorites.

Alemán - Huracán

Got a chance to work with some amazing and talented humans to create this short film, about Alemán and his history to become one of the biggest stars in Mexican Rap.

T-Mobile - Covers 99%

a good old straight forward :30 second spot

T-Mobile - Cubre 99%

a Spanish version of that last :30 second spot ;-)

Pearl Jam - The Home Shows

I believe that together we do achieve more. For this series, I had the chance to join forces with a band that has been a constant in the soundtrack of my life. Pearl Jam’s Home Shows were being held to unite the community around the cause of ending homelessness.

Sitka - Hash Mastery

A simple but in depth piece about what it takes to make high quality Hashish.

Premera

Had the chance to reach out to the Spanish speaking community in the Seattle area to start a conversation about health insurance.

Starbucks - Believe

When we believe in ourselves and others, we can do great things. Directing this project with a diversity of humans at Starbucks was a joy because when we believe in doing good and working for the common good, things work out better than we think.

Experian - Insurance

A very short :15 spot about getting your car insurance with Experian.

Experian - Seguros

the same short spot but this time not in English but not quite in Spanish either. I'd rather just use one language but some clients like Spanglish.

T-Mobile - 5G

What does the future hold? Directing this multi-day shoot on the future promises of 5G was a fun exercise for the mind and challenge to visualize what the future may bring to our lives.

Hydro Flask - Tumbler

Being hydrated is key for all humans. I had the chance to direct this product video for the launch of the new Hydro Flask Tumbler, your new favorite cup.

Brad - Reason to be in my skin

This project was the most fun. I got to be in the studio with one of my favorite bands while they recorded an album. I directed, shot, edited, color corrected and produced nine of these pieces, which were launched via Rolling Stone magazine as the album was released.

Humm Kombucha

El Animal got to hang out with another animal of sorts, our friend Blitz from the Seattle Seahawks. Blitz shows us how much he loves Humm Kombucha and how it gets him ready for game day... Go Hawks!!!

Rey Pila - Surveilance Camera

Rey Pila was on the U.S leg of their tour when they stopped in Portland and invited us to come capture some songs at their show.  This tune always gets me in a good mood.

Powerful Voices - You and Me

This piece has a special place in my heart since besides directing, photographing, editing, and doing the motion graphics, it was an effort to help Powerful Voices (a non-profit organization) raise money to keep empowering young girls of color around the Pacific Northwest.
